COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this immersive journey, students will transcend the mere memorization of country borders and capital cities, delving instead into the intricate tapestry of human culture woven into the landscape. From the lush rainforests of the Amazon to the sprawling deserts of the Sahara, nature’s diverse landscapes have not only shaped historical events but have also profoundly influenced the customs, beliefs, and lifestyles of communities around the globe.
Throughout this enriching experience, students will cultivate a deep understanding of how geography acts as a silent architect, molding societies and shaping identities. By examining the interplay between terrain and culture, students will develop a heightened sense of empathy and appreciation for the rich diversity of human experiences. Through stories, biographies, discussions, projects, and hands-on activities, they will unravel the complex relationship between people and place. Join us on this extraordinary voyage of discovery, where every bend in the river and every crest of a mountain offers a new perspective on the human experience.
