Course Description
This weekly online art class for Grades 6 and 7 takes students on a rich artistic journey through drawing, painting, calligraphy, clay, and collage. Through the careful study of light and shadow, color and form, perspective and composition, students will develop not only their technical skills but a deeper relationship with the world they observe and imagine. Weekly live sessions and recorded lesson videos ensure every student can learn and grow in their own time and rhythm. This class is a warm and encouraging place where observation, patience, and creativity are equally honored.
The live sessions will have some teacher instruction and time for sharing student work. Recorded videos of art instruction will be posted in Google Classroom for students to review and follow along at their own pace. Art assignments will vary in time needed to complete them based on the specific activity and the student’s interpretation.
