Course Description
Most parents today can remember looking forward to their future with a sense of confidence and optimism, relishing the chance to chart their own course in life. Now, as we have become parents, we hope our child will enter adulthood feeling comfort with their evolving self, and having the confidence to navigate the challenges that life presents. But children in today’s world often feel uncertainty about their future, and lack the necessary confidence to navigate the world on their own.
In this 5-week course, Academy founder, Jamie York, and co-founder and counselor, Karen van Vuuren will lead thought-provoking conversations around what our children need on this road to become independent, fully human individuals. We will consider the challenges to their healthy development, as well as practical ideas to overcome the obstacles that stand in their way.
